This Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, five athletes from the Li’l Abner Foundation participated in the 2020 Florida Open International Online Poomsae Championships.
This event was organized by Ong’s Taekwondo and had the participation of various schools from the United States as well as from other countries in Europe and Asia.
We believe that it was a great opportunity for our athletes to experience the excitement of the competition using virtual media due to the current pandemic. From this space, we want to congratulate the organizers, judges, and participants.
the results of our team were as follows:
Day 1: Color Belt Competition.
- Lucas Garrido 1st Place – 10-11 yrs old Red Belts (Advanced)
- Joshua Ortega 1st Place – 12-14 yrs old, Orange Belts (Beginner)
- Diego Moreno 2nd Place – 10-11 yrs old, Purple Belts (Intermediate)
Day 2: Black Belt Competition.
- Edward Cespedes, 2nd Place, 12-14 yrs old, Black Belts
- Rosemary Ubeda, 3rd Place, 15-17 yrs old, Black Belts.
