What we are?
Li’l Abner Foundation Archery is an official USA Archery Club proudly serving Miami-Dade County since 2015. Conveniently located in Sweetwater, our Indoor Archery Range is easily accessible from major highways, including the FL Turnpike and 836.
We offer the USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development Program for aspiring archers aged 10 and up. Our programs also include an Adult Archery Program for all skill levels. In addition, we provide group and team-building corporate events, as well as private lessons tailored to individual needs, available upon request.

- Three archers from Li’l Abner Foundation participated in the Lancaster Archery Classic, showcasing their skills in one of the largest Indoor Archery premier events.
- A youth team will represent us at the 56th USA Archery Indoor Nationals from February 7-9, highlighting the talent and dedication of our up-and-coming archers.

- The Li’l Abner Foundation Archery Club is excited to announce its new partnership with the Bohning Youth Archery Schools and Clubs Program. As members, we anticipate this collaboration will enhance the positive impact on our young archers and foster the growth of the sport within our community
Class Format
- Beginners Introductory Class: Thursdays 7-8 pm. Prospective Students should made a reservation for this Lesson.
- Beginners Shooting Group Class: Tuesday & Thursday 5-6 pm. JOAD program is introduced.
- Intermediate and Competitive training: Tuesday & Thursday 6-7 pm, With option to train on weekends on a second location to shoot outdoors .
- USA Archery’s Athlete Development Model is being implemented.
- We provide basic equipment at no additional cost for beginners. Don’t worry if you don’t have equipment to get started.

- 5 pm: Archery Beginners
- 6 pm: Archery Intermediate and Competitive
- 7pm : (Only Thursday) Try Archery Sessions. To take this class it is necessary to reserve your space, send us an email to reserve your place.
Try Archery sessions are introductory classes designed for new students or individuals interested in exploring the fascinating sport of archery. These sessions include basic equipment and the necessary instruction to develop skill and safety in any archery range. They provide the foundation for getting started in the sport of archery.
Registration:
Registration is available at our office or by requesting that we email you an electronic waiver form. All our members should have at least one recreational membership with USA Archery.
Dress-code:
All students are required to wear sports attire and sneakers during classes. T-shirts or long sleeves are recommended, while hoodies or bulky long sleeves are not permitted.

Li’l Abner Foundation Archers Shine at NFAA/FAA State Indoor Championship
This past weekend, the Li’l Abner Foundation Archers participated in the NFAA/FAA State Indoor Championships, showcasing their skills across multiple divisions. Our talented shooters competed in Olympic Recurve, Barebow, Compound, and Bowhunter categories, representing the foundation with dedication and precision.
The event was an exciting display of sportsmanship, with each division offering its own unique challenges. Our archers gave their best efforts and demonstrated their commitment to the sport.

Li’l Abner Foundation Archers Shine at JOAD State Outdoor Championships
Last week, a dedicated squad of four archers from the Li’l Abner Foundation competed in the prestigious JOAD State Outdoor Championships. Hosted at the Brevard Archers range in Melbourne, Florida, the event brought together top young archers from across the state.
We are thrilled to announce that our team brought home impressive results: 1 Gold Medal and 2 Silver Medals. A huge congratulations to our new JOAD State Medalists for their hard work and exceptional performances!
We’re proud of their achievements and look forward to even more success in future events
USA Archery Outdoor State Championships
Sebastian Jane and Chloe Cuba represented our organization with excellence at the USA Archery State Outdoor Championships in Newberry, FL this weekend. Sebastian’s impressive performance secured him 2nd place in the Under 17 Compound men division. Chloe’s outstanding victory in the Under 13 Barebow Female Division is a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Congratulations on their well-deserved results.

Li’l Abner Foundation & Tropical Troopers Outdoor Shoot
This April 20, we celebrated our first outdoor club tournament sanctioned by USA Archery with great success. The event consisted of a 720 round, the location was Tropical Troopers 4H JOAD Club in Miramar, FL.
