Students from G.Holmes Braddock Senior High School are taking a free five weeks intense SAT prep course preparing them to take the test soon.
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a test that many universities use to evaluate incoming students. It consists of 2 parts: English, which includes general knowledge of grammar, writing, and reading comprehension; and Math, which includes general math, geometry, algebra, and problem-solving.
This test is three hours long and it’s scored on a scale from 400-1600. The class is being conducted by Paulo de Leon, a Senior at Tufts University, and assisted by Sofia Muniz, a student from FIU honors college.
There are also 2 other high school groups taking this intense course, they are from Belen Jesuit Prep and Southridge High school.
This Free SAT prep course offered by the Lil Abner Foundation benefits our community. Assisting these students to prepare for this test will help increase their scores and help them get into the universities of their choice.
