This weekend the NFAA Indoor State Championship was held in three locations in the state of Florida. These cities were: Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Orlando.
The Li’l Abner Foundation Archers team competed in Fort Lauderdale in an event in which more than 150 competitors from north central and south Florida registered throughout the state. For the Florida Archery Association this was a very successful event since by distributing it in these three clubs it was possible to reach the archers of each region, which had been a limitation when it was a single site, normally in northern Florida.

In the Adult Female Barebow category, Cecilia Seiglie with a total score of 471 won first place and was crowned state champion, the second place winner corresponded to Virginia Phillips of Lee County Archers with 438.
In the Youth Men’s Compound Bow division with pin sights, Sebastian Jane achieved first place also reaching the championship with 576 beating Zachary Whitlow of Tampa who achieved 563. Mila Cruz also got the 1st Place in Youth Female Barebow Recurve. Last but not least, rookie Chloe Cuba, only 10 years old in the Cub Female Barebow Recurve division, was also crowned state champion with 384 pts.

- Michelle Lopez 2nd Place Adult Female Recurve
- Alan Antolinez Senior Male Recurve 4th place
- Joseph Lovin Young Adult Male Compound Fixed Pins 5th place
With this event the indoor season ends, our team will still shoot the USA Archery virtual tournament on March 21 and then prepare for the 2024 Li’l Abner Foundation and Tropical Troopers 2nd Outdoor Club Shoot in April, which will serve as preparation for summer outdoor events such as the 2024 Sunshine State Games Archery and the 2024 USA Archery State Outdoor Target Tournament.
