This weekend at the Newberry Archery Center, two of our Li’l Abner Foundation athletes qualified to participate in the National 4H Shooting Sports Championship.
What is 4‑H?
4‑H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. For more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.
Sisters Sofia and Victoria Rodriguez have been participating with our team since 2019, and although they reside in Miramar, FL they attend the Foundation every Tuesday and Thursday and our practices in Miami Springs on Saturdays.
The most recent results in the state indoor tournament are as follows:
2021 USA Archery State Indoor Championships March 2021
- Sofia Rodriguez – 1st Place – Olympic Recurve
- Victoria Rodriguez – 2nd Place – Barebow
Congratulations to the Rodriguez sisters and their parents, we are very proud of what they have accomplished.
The next event for the Li’l Abner Foundation Team will be the JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) State Championship that will be next May 22 at Newberry Archery Center.
