This past weekend, three dedicated archers from the Li’l Abner Archery Club made their way to the prestigious Lancaster Archery Classic, an event that brings together top archers from around the world. Representing the club were Alan Antolinez in the Master/Male Olympic Recurve division, Sebastian Jane in the Male Bowhunter division, and Cecilia Seiglie in the Female Barebow division. For each of them, this was an experience to remember, marking new milestones in their archery careers.
For Cecilia Seiglie, this was her third time competing in the Lancaster Archery Classic, an event she has grown accustomed to and always looks forward to. For both Alan and Sebastian, however, this was their first time participating, and they embraced the challenge with great enthusiasm.
The competition was tough, with each division featuring over 100 skilled shooters from across the globe. Despite the stiff competition, our Li’l Abner archers showed their resilience and determination. Alan Antolinez finished in 12th place in the Master/Male Olympic Recurve division, a strong performance that reflects his dedication to the sport. Sebastian Jane placed 127th in the Male Bowhunter division, while Cecilia Seiglie ended in 59th in the Female Barebow division, showing great effort and focus.
While the outcomes varied, the experience itself was invaluable for all of our archers. The Lancaster Archery Classic is a highly competitive international event, and participating in such a prestigious competition is a big achievement in itself. As always, improvement comes one step at a time, and these results are a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Li’l Abner Archery Club members.
Looking ahead, the club is gearing up for the Florida Archery Association NFAA State Indoor Championships, which will take place on February 1-2. It’s another exciting opportunity for our archers to test their skills and continue pushing towards excellence.
